Jurisdiction
The following list details the Cuyahoga County governmental entities
that do fall under the jurisdiction of the AIG:
- Council Members
- Council Staff
- Executive
- Executive Staff
- Audit Committee
- Information Services Center
- Fiscal Office, including the Treasurer, Board of Revision, Purchasing, and Auditor/Recorder
- Human Resources Department
- Department of Public Works, including Engineer, Sanitary, and Facilities Management
- Department of Development
- Regional Collaboration
- Public Safety & Justice Services
- Medical Examiner
- Sheriff
- Clerk of Courts
- Law Department
- Health and Human Services, including Children and Family Services (DCFS), Employment and Family Services (EFS), Senior and Adult Services (DSAS), and Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA).
Additionally, the AIG has jurisdiction over
contractors and
lobbyists who have entered into a contract with Cuyahoga County governmental entities.
In instances where the AIG does have jurisdiction, the AIG will review the matter for the appropriate next steps (i.e. AIG investigation, referral to County Director, or referral to local law enforcement).

do not fall under the jurisdiction of the AIG:

- Land Bank
- Board of Developmental Disabilities
- ADAMHS Board
- Board of Health
- Board of Elections
- Planning Commission
- Veterans Service Commission
- MetroHealth Hospital
- Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority
- State, county, and local municipality governments, residents, contractors and businesses
In instances where the AIG does not have jurisdiction, the AIG will refer the matter to the appropriate governing authority (i.e. MetroHealth Board of Directors, City of Cleveland Police Department, etc.).
